Free Multi-Disease Diagnosis and Health Check-up Camp Held on the Occasion of Independence Day Parbhani, 15 August 2026: On the occasion of Independence Day, the Lions Club Parbhani Prince organized a free multi-disease diagnosis and health check-up camp for senior citizens, ex-servicemen, their families, and all citizens. The initiative, which beautifully combined service, humanity, and patriotism, concluded in an enthusiastic atmosphere. The program was inaugurated by Hon. Meghnatai Bordikar, Guardian Minister, Parbhani and Minister of State, Health Department. The event was graced by distinguished guests including Shri Suresh Bhumre, District President, BJP Rural; Lion Ganesh Deshmukh, Deputy Mayor, Parbhani Municipal Corporation; Lion Kamal Kishorji Agrawal, Former Mayor of Parbhani and Shiv Chhatrapati Awardee; Lion RVSS Srinivas, Engineer, All India Radio; Lion Dr. Chilgar, Ophthalmologist; Lion Dr. Sunil Modak, Zone Chairperson, Lions Club Parbhani Prince; Lion Vishal Vattamwar, President, Lions Club Main Parbhani; Lion Dhanashree Suryavanshi, President, Lions Club Rising Women Parbhani; and Lion Priya Thakur, BOD, Lions Club Rising Women. The program began with Dhanvantari worship and lamp lighting ceremony. A large number of dignitaries, office bearers and members of Lions Club Parbhani Prince, doctors, medical experts, social workers, senior citizens, ex-servicemen, and their families were present. The introductory address was delivered by Lion Dr. Suryakant Deshmukh, President of Lions Club Parbhani Prince. He explained the purpose of the camp, emphasizing that healthcare is a powerful form of social service and that reaching medical facilities to the needy is the club’s core mission. The camp offered various free services including cataract screening and registration, general health check-ups, blood sugar testing, BMI assessment, Ayurvedic treatment and guidance, specialist consultations, and diet and health counseling. A large number of citizens attended and benefited from these services. Speakers appreciated the service-oriented work of Lions Club Parbhani Prince. They noted that organizing a health initiative on Independence Day, thereby combining national service with social service, was truly inspiring. Chief guest Hon. Meghnatai Bordikar highlighted the importance of healthcare services, social service, and awareness programs for public health. She appreciated the initiative for serving underprivileged sections of society on the sacred occasion of Independence Day. During the health camp, the staff of Parbhani ICU and Trauma Care extended valuable support. The medical team conducted various health examinations and provided necessary guidance. Volunteers also assisted senior citizens, ex-servicemen, and their families. For the success of this service initiative, Lion Dr. Praveen Dhadwe, Lion Tushar Marathe, Lion Manohar Chaudhary, Lion Rajkumar Bhamre, Lion Kailas Somvanshi, Lion Dr. Vitthal Ghule, Lion Sanket Agrawal, Lion Mayur Bhale, Lion Bandu Kakade, Lion Dr. Atmaram Giri, Lion Dr. Vikas Chopde, Lion Harsh Agrawal, Lion Yash Agrawal, along with several senior and new members of the Lions Club, actively participated and handled various responsibilities. The overall success of the program was ensured by Lion Dr. Suryakant Deshmukh (President), Lion Vikas Yeske (Secretary), Lion Prof. Narhari Phad (Treasurer), and Lion Adv. Sunil Bagal (Activity Chairman) along with all office bearers and members of the club. The program was anchored by Lion Vikas Yeske. Heartfelt thanks were extended to all dignitaries, doctors, medical staff, Parbhani ICU and Trauma Care team, volunteers, partner organizations, and 200 plus citizens who availed the health services & the number is increasing onward. Through this Independence Day health initiative, the message that “Service is true patriotism and humanity is the true identity” reached the society. By extending a helping hand to the needy through healthcare services, Lions Club Parbhani Prince made Independence Day more meaningful. “Let us stay healthy, keep our families healthy, make society healthy, and contribute to nation-building through service!” The program concluded with this inspiring message.
